Amber insisted her fiance Neil take her to Venice, Italy to help her overcome the loss of her pet cat.

When she follows what looks like her beloved cat’s doppelganger, she falls into a canal and awakens, trapped in the body of a young Venetian woman during the Middle Ages.

Accustomed to bullying her way into getting everything she wants, Amber jeopardizes the life of her naive new friend, a newly widowed merchant’s daughter.

While the Venetian menfolk use the women in a political chess match, the Black Death invades the bustling maritime city.  Amber must adapt everything she’s come to know in order to survive.

Originally written as a NaNoWriMo challenge in 2015, this novel is in the final stages of editing after a long hiatus!
